Myriad of stars awake in your eyes,
sprinkling my body with sore delight,
July red poppies, offering hearts,
petals rustling as your lips whisper.
Scattered flowers
on the way back from a stroll,
each of them a shared smile
as the sun reluctantly faded from the scenery.
Look at me and tell me that our love
will not drift away with foul waters
and vanish within those oceanic mists
returning to equinoctial climes.
